Loaders
For Jupiter

Jupiter Money is a digital banking app with a diverse range of verticals spanning loans, investments, and payments. Jupiter prioritises financial literacy by simplifying complex financial terminology and offering users insightful guidance.

I worked at Jupiter as a Senior Illustrator, as part of the product design team.

The challenge

As a  fintech app, Jupiter must comply with national regulations for financial security, many of which can be cumbersome for users and cause frustration toward the product. One such example is an extended wait time

How might we make the extended waiting period for Jupiter users less tedious, and have them stay on the screen?

What we did

We decided to design a loader that was representative of the gratification users could expect at the end of the wait, as well as being visually appealing.

Closer look

at the loader

The loader is seen during the process of the user linking their  Jupiter account to another bank account in order to provide accurate categorisation of their spends.

Visual Inspiration

The loader comprised icons that represented the different categories appearing within the feature.

The icons were created in the brand's colour palette. The icons were created to resemble a collection of elements that could morph seamlessly from one to the other. This provided a satisfying and compelling visual.

Variations of the Loader

  • Encourage more accurate responses from the NPS survey by making it more intuitive and easy to navigate.

  • Make the activity less cumbersome by introducing an element of delight.

The Edge Loader

Make the activity less cumbersome by introducing an element of delight.

Project objectives:

  • Encourage more accurate responses from the NPS survey by making it more intuitive and easy to navigate.

  • Make the activity less cumbersome by introducing an element of delight.
